Nancy Anstoetter

Nancy Anstoetter lives in West Des Moines with her husband, Brian, and enjoys the company of her three grown sons.   She is a Financial Advisor- Senior Vice President at RBC Wealth Management in Des Moines.  Drawing on 30 years of experience working with successful families (including 22 years as Wealth Advisor VP at Wells Fargo), she assists in the design and implementation of comprehensive wealth management strategies.

 

She has built an extensive background in wealth management services including investments, planning, custom credit and risk management. Beyond work, Nancy is involved with community organizations. She is a founding board member of the Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa, an organization which advances stewardship and is rooted in best financial practices and Catholic values investing.

 

Nancy is also a board member for the local Catholic Charities organization, an organization that supports those who need a little help along the way, reduces poverty and builds communities. She is a past president/current member of the Des Moines Estate Planners Forum.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, reading and generally trying to improve the lives of others.

Diane Heckman

Diane Heckman is currently the Volunteer Services Manager at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.  She has served in this role for approximately five years and has worked with hundreds of volunteers.

 

Previously, she worked in state government and the private insurance sector.  Diane has her B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa and her Masters in Public Administration from Drake University.

 

She is a long standing member of the American Cancer Society  Coaches v. Cancer Gala Committee and she has served on various boards and committees at her church and school.  She resides in West Des Moines, Iowa with her husband and two children.

Betsy Jepsen

Betsy Jepsen is a 1988 Graduate of the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance. She was a member of and Chapter President for Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while at Iowa.  She began with the Principal in 1988 and has held leadership roles in underwriting, product management, business development and in her current role as the National Director – Talent Growth for USIS Distribution focusing on recruiting and leader development.

 

She continues her professional education through achievement of industry designations – FLMI, ACS, HIA, CLF, CLU and has her FINRA Series 7 and 24 registrations.  She has completed course work through Coaches Training Institute as a professional coach and has a small business coaching individuals, teams and business owners toward goal achievement.

 

She is involved in community activities including previous board positions on the Urbandale Booster Club, Children and Families of Iowa board of trustees and the reentry program for the Mitchellville women’s correctional facility.  She presently serves as the Vice President of Faith Lutheran Church council and is on the Premier Credit Union Board of Directors.

Ruth Meyer

Ruth Meyer was a 1982 graduate of Wartburg College, with a degree in accounting and business administration.  She was a CPA with Peat Marwick (Des Moines), McGladrey Hendrickson (Iowa City) and Deloitte (Cleveland), until “retiring” to stay at home with their four children.  She is now a partner and CFO in G & M Property Management, which is a residential rental partnership in West Des Moines.

 

Ruth has served as treasurer of many nonprofits over the years, including important organizations like Boy Scouts, Western Hills Elementary PTA, Valley Voices (vocal department parent group), Quail Park Neighborhood Association, and served as the treasurer for the Faith Lutheran Church council, where their family has been members since 1992.    Ruth’s passion in life, besides her family, is playing the piano, and keeps her piano keys dusted practicing for church services, BSA meeting services, high school solo accompaniments, and weddings and funerals.

Ruth is a member of PEO, and is currently the recording secretary of her chapter.  With her husband, Scott, the two served as class representatives for their Wartburg alumni reunions multiple times. Ruth was a board member of the former Acts 2 Collective board, and was one of the founders of Divine Access.  She has been involved with educational and humanitarian work in Ghana since 2012.

Judy Quick

Judy Quick is a 1983 St. Olaf College graduate with a BS in Chemistry and minor in Women’s Studies. Judy continued onto Medical school with a career in infectious Disease and Diabetes research helping develop the first Insulin Pump. Judy lives in Des Moines with her husband Tom and has been married for 33 years with 2 adult children. 1993-2007 part time retail work and raising children was her focus.

Judy has served in many leadership capacities: Faith Lutheran Church Alleluia choir director, Children’s Musical director, worship and music board, confirmation leader, founder of the 7th stage connecting group, and member of the adult and contemporary choir. Accompanist for many vocal contests, president of Roosevelt High School PTO and Band Boosters, served as recording secretary and VP of PEO Chapter HM, Junior League puppet ministry for school age children and organized many gourmet food groups throughout so many organizations.

Family is the center of Judy’s life, but also enjoys anything outdoors, exercise, yard work and gardening, a new found love of Yoga, cooking, BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and connecting and reconnecting with family and friends.

​

Cabi is Judy’s full time job  which focuses on changing women’s lives through relationships on a local and global level through the Heart Of Cabi philanthropic programs. Since 2005 58million has been given in clothing donations domestically and internationally, 16,906 small business loans given through our Make a Change and New Stylist partnership program, 3,300 female students in Rwanda given grants to be educated and given hope, total of 62 countries impacted. Personally Judy’s cabi business has supported Divine Access, Dress for Success, the Lymphoma Society, Self Help International and the Ghana Storytelling project.

Brenda Reiman-Miller

Brenda Reiman-Miller grew up in Carroll, Iowa and graduated in 1982 from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication.  Brenda was a Senior Sales Executive for Allergan Pharmaceuticals for 15 years, and during that time received many awards, including Sales Representative of Year.

 

Previous boards she has served on include the Sacred Heart Board of Education, and Athletic Board at Dowling Catholic High School. She has been an active member of both Sacred Heart and Dowling Catholic guilds, chairing several events through the years, including auctions that raised in excess of $90,000.

 

She also is the co-founder of Maroon Crew Too at Dowling Catholic, which is a parent-led support and spirit effort, specific to each sport.  Currently, Brenda serves as Board president for Divine Access.

​

After traveling to Ghana in 2015, she spearheaded an auction to collect funds to build a women’s center there. Together with Ruth Meyer and Jordan Saddoris, the auction raised enough money to build the Nyame Do Women’s Center.

​

In her free time, Brenda enjoys her small party planning business, her book clubs, card clubs, Mah Jongg, her prayer group, entertaining and traveling.   Brenda lives in West Des Moines with her husband of 30 years, Jeff. They have three children.

Jordan Saddoris

Hello, my name is Jordan Saddoris and I am the Secretary for Divine Access. I was born and raised in Ankeny but currently live in south Florida. I'm finishing up my final year at the University of Miami School of Law and work in the Capital Markets division for a law firm in Fort Lauderdale.

 

Prior to starting law school, I had been traveling to Ghana and Chad once a year for the various projects going on through Acts 2 Collective. I also serve on the board of Jonathan's House International, which serves children in Sierra Leone.

Mercedes Steffensen

Hello everyone! I'm Mercedes, a 6th-grade math teacher for Des Moines Public Schools and a local Des Moines native. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and am finishing up my first full year of teaching.

 

I heard about Nyame Do from Brenda and love using my bags. I am thrilled and honored to be joining the board because I am passionate about supporting the mission of supporting women all over the globe.
